Prerequisites: You must understand opening, creating and renaming folders in Windows Explorer (File Manager)
Learn to create and/edit two websites in Dreamweaver, the web industry's standard software application. As you create the web sites here is what you will learn:

Navigation of the Dreamweaver user interface

Set up site definitions and web site directories both local and remote on the web server
*
Uploading web pages to your web server and downloading web pages from your web server
*
Link web pages and images including email links
*
Adding images to a page and resizing them
*
Creating web page layout using tables (including borders, alignment, color selection and custom color creation as well as cell manipulation)
*
Formatting text by utilizing basic text Cascading Style Sheets - By setting up a site with Cascading Style Sheets, text attributes such as font, font attributes and color site can be changed site wide by just changing the designated style
*
Manipulating the page background with margins, images and colors
*
Learn the workflow necessary to create a multi-page web site from scratch
*
Learn to create image maps so that user-configurable parts of images can be linked to pages and images
Learn metatags so that your website will be searchable in the search engines
Dreamweaver MX 2004 is installed on our computers for this class; however, trainers are well-versed in all versions.
