American artists have long been inspired by the human figure. Build on this tradition by discussing figurative artworks and then drawing directly from works on view in the Amon Carter’s collection and the exhibition American Vanguards: Graham, Davis, Gorky, de Kooning and Their Circle, 1927–1942. Drawing boards, pencils, and paper will be provided; participants are also welcome to bring their own sketchbooks. No reservations are required.
