The Toonseum has teamed up with Wigle Whiskey to bring you “Dr. Sketchy's Splifflicated Speakeasy” on January 11th. Models dressed as Flappers and Gangsters will take the stage in this lighting-fast drawing class coming straight from the Roaring 20's. Taste signature cocktails at the Wigle Whiskey juice joint, and draw til' your fingers fall off.
Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School combines life drawing with cocktails, drawing challenges and great prizes. You don't need to be the best and you most certainly won't be the worst in this quick-fire drawing class.
About Wigle Whiskey
Wigle Whiskey is named for a good-natured man who was sentenced to hang for his unsinkable love of whiskey. In 1794, Phillip Wigle defended his right to distill in a tussle with a tax collector. He unwittingly helped spark the Whiskey Rebellion, which pitted Pennsylvania distillers against George Washington's troops. Wigle Whiskey is working to restore a Pennsylvania tradition championed by these rebellious distillers. We make whiskey and gin much the same way Wigle and his friends did – with a copper pot and fresh local ingredients. Join us for a tour and learn how we make our whiskeys from scratch in Pittsburgh's Strip District and get a taste of the good stuff we've distilled!
Dr. Sketchy's Spifflicated Speakeasy begins at 7:30pm so grab a Wigle Giggle Water and your favorite drawing implement and head down to 2401 Smallman Street Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
