Newton and Precious Saltwater have but one dream: to host the Grand Ol' Opry. For the last twenty-five years they worked diligently towards that goal, playing VFWs, elder hostels and Motel 6 lounges throughout the country. With their RV broken down in Allston, MA , they couch surf at the one-bedroom of their daughter, Chastity Bonno Saltwater, former kindergarten beauty pageant queen and doctoral candidate in molecular biology at MIT. Discovered busking in Harvard Sq., Newton and Precious discover new hope in big city hosting Dr. Otis' Birch Branch Radio Show, a new live radio show (well, kind of) with acts they don't even really get.
Part sit-com, part soap opera, part improv, part variety show, the follows the ups and down of the Saltwaters, a trailer park Steve and Eydie whose act (according the Boise, Idaho Ad-Saver newspaper) "comes close to achieving competency." Come see the gloriousness of it all!
