Twin City Outreach Mission and United Health Care present the Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Birthday Celebration Banquet on Friday, July 8th at the Florence Civic Center.

The celebration will begin at 6pm at the with an Evening of Elegance celebrating a -Generation of 28 Great NCNW (National Council of Negro Women) Women-, with the dynamic Dr. Avis Jones-DeWeever, Executive Director for the National Council of Negro Women of Washington, DC, as Guest Speaker. Entertainment will be provided by the World Renowned Gospel Recording Group, the Brooklyn All Stars... singing one of their many hits, -Family Prayer-. Tickets are $35.00 single and $60.00 per couple. NO TICKETS SALES AT THE DOOR! Ticket sales locations are to be announced. Proceeds will benefit Dr. Bethune on-going projects. On Saturday, July 9, at 9am, we will have our grand parade with Dr. Avis Jones-DeWeever, as our Grand Marshall and other distinguished NCNW members, state leaders, local churches and many others.

Do not forget... on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Florence Civic Center we will kick-off an R&B Concert featuring the legendary Millie Jackson (It Hurts So Good, If Loving You Is Wrong I Dont Want To Be Right) along with Clarence Carter (Strokin, Slip Away) and Roy C (Rock Me, Saved by The Bell). Also performing is Carl Marshall and Sir Jonathon Burton along with special guest Carolina Soul Band.
