DOXA Fundraiser :: Celsius 17/11 hosted by Priya Ramu, with acclaimed cellist Peggy Lee November 17, 2006

DOXA is thrilled to announce that acclaimed cellist Peggy Lee will be the featured performer at this year’s DOXA fundraiser, Celsius 17/11. A celebrated improviser, composer and performer of new music in groups such as Standing Wave, Turning Point Ensemble, and the Tony Wilson Sextet, Lee will accompany the 1939 silent documentary film Stanley Park, courtesy of the BC Archives. Don’t miss this one-time performance and all-around great event, hosted by CBC’s Priya Ramu and featuring door prizes, delicious snacks, and a silent auction (see below for some of the fantastic items!).
