DoubleDuo: Allami+Al-Khatib+Hbeisch+Piccioni April 26, 2012

An evening of mesmerising music, composed especially for the Oud and percussive instruments of the Middle East by musician and composer Khyam Allami, who has just been shortlisted for a Songlines Music Award!

Khyam Allami is a London-based artist of Iraqi descent. His passion for music has lead him on a journey from child violinist in Damascus to rock drummer in London to the stage of the BBC Proms

Allami has developed new work based on a ‘double duo’ idea featuring oud and percussion. Working with Palestinian oud player Ahmad Al-Khatib, percussionist Youssef Hbeisch (Trio Joubran), and Italian drum master Andrea Piccioni, expect a wonderful night of enchanting and soul-touching music
