Doodle 4 Google Organizes A Virtual Field Trip Live From the Googleplex March 1, 2013

This year’s Doodle 4 Google contest is already underway and Google is inviting you to join members of the Doodle 4 Google team for a fun virtual field trip live from the Googleplex on Discovery Education’s site on Friday, March 1st at 1:00pm EST. Join the talented group of illustrators and engineers for an exclusive behind-the-scenes view into how Google doodles are created. Two illustrators will even participate in a live doodle-off - determined by your votes!

The Doodle 4 Google program is in its 6th year and has served as an inspirational contest to students in grades K-12 across the country to use their artistic talents to think big and redesign Google’s homepage logo for millions to see. This year’s theme -- “My Best Day Ever…” -- encourage students to harness their curiosity to imagine the past, present, or future on Google’s homepage.

This year’s winner will not only have their doodle on Google.com for millions of people to see, but will also receive a $30,000 college scholarship and a $50,000 technology grant for his/her school. The contest runs from January 15th through March 22nd, 2013.
