With an expected attendance of over 60,000 Latinos from different backgrounds, the 29th Annual Dominican
Festival & Health Fair will showcase a roster of folkloric and contemporary performers of salsa, merengue and bachata, a sampling of foods from throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, family activities, park rides, and free medical screening and health services from hospitals and health institutions that support the Latino community.
The free-admission festival will start with the traditional “Dominican Parade” that features typical floats, performers in traditional outfits, and local residents’ vehicles making up the enthusiastic procession that will head up Franklin Park in the middle of music, dancing and colorful costumes.
