Dog Days of Summer July 28, 2012

The Dog Days of Summer is an Annual Event put on by the City of La Habra Heights Park and recreation. The event was started to educate Pet owners in many aspects from Nutrition, Vet Care, Dog Products, Vaccinations, micro-chipping and a multitude of activities that dog owners can become involved with their family dog.

This year the Dog Days event has added some great demos for the public to view:

Some of the attractions at Dog Days will include:
* Agility Demos
* Flyball Demos
* Sheep Herding Demos
* Frisbee Demos
* Police Dog Demo
* Falco K-9 Academy Demo
* Search & Rescue Dog Demo
* Dachshund Races
* $5.00 Microchipping
* Dog Vendor Booths
* Rescue Organizations
* Low Cost Dog Washing Booth $20.00
* Pet Education Booths
* Dog Photograph Booth
* Sheep Herding Instinct Testing $30.00

Making appearances at the Dog Days will be over 45 vendors specializing in the best doggie attire, accessories, treats, health and wellness, bowls, beds as well as representatives from veterinarians and rescue organizations (if you want to find a new friend, get advice or volunteer). There will be $5.00 micro chipping available. There will be a Dog Wash fundraiser going on at this event to raise money for the Pet Prescription Team a Therapy Dog organization located in the Orange County area… so bring Fido out for a bath. Stroll with your pet and meet some other friends. Guests can even get pet portraits, and owners can pick up doggie related clothing, home goods, accessories and more.

This year's event is scheduled for Saturday, July 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Park located at, 1885 Hacienda Road, La Habra Heights, Ca.
