As part of the Spanish Heritage Month celebration at the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago, WTTW11 will present “Dream Havana”, a touching documentary that follows two writers from Cuba faced with a choice: struggle with the hardships of the island or brave the open water on a homemade raft. This is the story of their struggles, their successes, and the friendship that binds them across the distance, from Chicago to Havana.
Gary Marks, producer of “Dream Havana,” will introduce the film and participate in the discussion following the screening.
