Documentary Film Screening February 22, 2013

Film screening of documentary “Women of Islam - Veiling and Seclusion.” Produced and Directed by Farheen Umar - the director will be in attendance for Q&A after the screening.

Filmmaker Farheen Umar explores veiling in Pakistan, Iran, Turkey and USA to uncover the roots and practices of veiling in different Muslim societies. The documentary breaks stereotypes and commonly held notions about women in Islam.
