The film Execution Tech will be shown at the Adult Education Center, 501 South 20th Street, on Wednesday, November 18, at 7:00 p. m. As part of the Fort Smith Museum of History’s latest exhibit, In the Shadow of the Gallows, a documentary series of films produced by the History Channel will be presented at various locations throughout the year.
Execution Tech offers an eye-opening look at crime and punishment in the Old West bringing a whole new meaning to the term “frontier justice.” The film features the gallows at Fort Smith and the hanging of Cherokee Bill.
There is no charge for the fifty minute film. Call the Fort Smith Museum of History, 479-783-7841, for more information.
This project has been funded in part by the Arkansas Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
