Vision Literacy, an award-winning and nationally accredited adult literacy organization, will conduct its Spring Orientation for prospective volunteers on Wednesday, April 11, from 6:00 to 8:00PM in Room 12 at the Columbia Middle School campus in Sunnyvale. If you have ever thought about becoming a literacy volunteer, this is your chance to learn more about the broad range of volunteer opportunities we offer and how to get started. The evening session will provide information about Vision Literacy, share profiles of the adult learners it serves, discuss the types of volunteer opportunities available, and show how to access the Vision Literacy online pre-service training for volunteer tutors. The session will conclude with a 30-minute live observation of one of Vision Literacy’s ESL group classes.
