157 S. Kalamazoo Mall
Kalamazoo, Michigan 49007

Route Location: Lovell westerly to Park Street, north on Michigan Avenue, east on Pitcher Street., south on Lovell.
A Downtown Kalamazoo Inc. event.

The Do Dah Parade is a long-standing, downtown tradition that, believe it or not, has gotten national attention, and even some copy-cat-ing. (That's right, they want to be JUST LIKE US, but do remember, the silliness started here, about 26 years ago - but who's keeping track?) Participating units are all challenged to present a parody, a spoof of sorts, if you will. Sure there's entertainment value, but mostly it's a chance to see your friends and neighbors sucessfully come up with something goofy or just plain weird. That's why it's called DO DAH. Don't expect perfection, or uniform marching. It's not likely anyone will be aiming for that. Oh, and if there's a gap between units, our advice: Just deal with it.

Who's YOUR Do - Dah????

It's way too late to enter Do Dah Parade 2009, but start thinking about how you or your group might be able to participate in 2010. You've got over 300 days to come up with something unique, whacky and hopefully, very, very, funny.
