DROM and the hip-hop/ funk percussive powerhouse TURNTABLES ON THE HUDSON proudly present one-night with DJ VADIM. The Russian-blooded, London-bred DJ VADIM -- called "the father of Russian hip-hop" -- blends an experimental combination of electronica, ska, and reggae with chopped samples, turntable scratches, and a whole lotta non-English vocals. His last CD was described as "schizophrenic…ingenious…and tasteful."
DJ VADIM will be joined by special guests ERIK THE RED and $MALL¢HANGE. Hailing from Brooklyn, ERIK THE RED spins reggae-infused funk alongside $MALL¢HANGE's vintage and modern Jamaican dancehall and disco covers.
