"the wonderful 'Godfather of Disco' documentary and then letting the great Kenny Carpenter (Studio 54, Bonds International) recreate those halcyon days in the party-shaped basement, you better get your skates on. The movie traces the life of West End records founder and Paradise Garage main-man Mel Cheren, and no film comes close in summing up the scene's idealism and tight-knit family feel. We're also showing a short film about Larry Levan, plus B-movies in the bar, including The Apple (bonkers disco sci-fi musical), Cruising (Al Pacino hits the leather bars) and Disco Godfather (the black Saturday Night Fever, with added kung fu). Dalston wunderkids Disco Bloodbath will be tearing things up after Mr Carpenter."
