Divisa Ensemble at St. Bede's, Menlo Park September 23, 2012

Come and enjoy a delightful afternoon concert of chamber music which will include music by Arnold, Moeran, Haydn, Leukauf and Sussmayr!

The Divisa Ensemble is recognized for its engaging performances and eclectic programming. A quintet of flute, oboe, violin, viola, and cello, the ensemble's instrumentation and "mix-and-match" approach allow for a wide variety of repertoire comprising all traditional and contemporary styles. The Divisa Ensemble is committed to exploring music suited to its unique instrumentation and sharing it through performance and education.

Since its inaugural concert in 2009, the Divisa Ensemble has performed throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, including appearances in the St. Bede's Performing Arts Series and Trinity Chamber Concerts. On every program the Divisa Ensemble showcases its diverse repertoire encompassing the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Contemporary genres.

The Divisa Ensemble is currently the Ensemble-in-Residence of the acclaimed El Camino Youth Symphony. The ensemble mentors student chamber groups through masterclasses and weekly coachings. At the end of each season, the Divisa Honors Program selects student groups to perform in a Divisa Ensemble concert.

St. Bede's church has a beautiful acoustic, ideally suited to chamber music. Parking is free and plentiful. A reception after the concert in the parish hall offers an opportunity to meet the performers.
