The band began with Michele Avolio who, for twenty years, has kept alive the tradition of popular music of the Abruzzo region. The group's repertoire includes traditional music from Abruzzo and southern Italy and ethnic music from other Italian regions. They use instruments such as guitar, mandolin, violin, cello, accordion, percussions and traditional Italian bagpipes.
