Dog Wash Block Party to raise funds for The Haven
Fairhope, AL - Who let the dogs out?! If you did and they show it, come to the Dirty Dog Wash, sponsored by The Haven and the American Legion Post 199 on June 12, from 2-6pm. The event will be held at the American Legion post at 170 South Mobile Avenue. Under the guidance of June Steele, owner of “Dog Daze Grooming”, she and the Haven volunteers will wash your dog for $15. June is donating her shampoo and time, so all proceeds will go to The Haven, the adoption guarantee animal shelter. After they are clean, the dogs can join everyone at the Block Party in the American Legion parking lot overlooking the Bay. From 3pm, “Legion All Stars” will entertain the crowd and for $8 you can partake in the fish fry, which will include catfish, slaw, hush puppies and bread.
In addition, The Haven will be bringing their mobile adoption unit full of cute, cuddly dogs that are available for adoption. T-shirts and other Haven items, as well as free information for the pet owner, will also be available.
