Her reputation as a hit maker has been firmly established thanks to nearly sixty charted hits since “Don’t Make Me Over” began its climb up the charts in December 1962. Ms. Warwick received her first Grammy Award in 1968 for the classic “Do You Know The Way To San Jose.” Her long association with Burt Bacharach and Hal David produced thirty hit singles and close to twenty best-selling albums during their first decade together. “Message To Michael,” “This Girl’s In Love With You,” “I’ll Never Fall In Love Again,” and “Reach Out For Me,” established Dionne Warwick as a consummate artist and performer. Ms Warwick is also devoted to global humanitarian causes. Her Grammy-winning, chart topping single “That’s What Friends Are For,” raised millions of dollars for AIDS research. She has served as the US Ambassador for Health, and was named a global Ambassador for the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

For 47 years, music fans and Bay Area residents have enjoyed the festive mood, great music and picnicking at Summer Symphony. Past featured performers include: Ella Fitzgerald, Burt Bacharach, Benny Goodman, Rosemary Clooney, Kenny Loggins, and Peter, Paul and Mary. Summer Symphony is sponsored in part by See’s Candies, Sand Hill Foundation, and NetJets.
