TNT PRODUCTIONS in association with THE BIDDLE HALL located at 3239 Biddle Avenue in Beautiful Downtown Wyandotte will debut their dinner theatre production of A LITTLE MURDER NEVER HURT ANYBODY with cooperation from Samuel French – New York City, NY. Tim Wojtala and his son Tommy Wojtala are bringing more of the arts to downtown Wyandotte with their new theatrical production company. Comedies, Mysteries, Revues and Musicals are on the agenda for the 2009 season.
A LITTLE MURDER NEVER HURT ANYBODY is a farce by Michigan playwright Ronald Jay and opens Saturday February 28, 2009 and continues every Saturday night until April 25, 2009 – doors open at 630pm, dinner served by The Biddle Hall at 7pm with the performance starting at 8pm. Reservations are REQUIRED and can be made by calling 734-282-5230 – Groups are encouraged with discounts available for 10 or more as well as Senior Discounts. Ticket prices are 35.00, which includes dinner, dessert, tax, tip & the live performance. A cash bar will be available as well.
In the play, which won the Community Theatre Association of Michigan New Plays Competition, Matthew Perry played by Tim Wojtala of Brownstown Township, has a friend who has just become a carefree jet-setter after losing his wife.
Desiring to acquire his friend’s lifestyle, Matthew decides to murder his own wife, Julie played by Emily Flesch of Riverview. The play opens with Matthew and Julia making resolutions for the New Year. Matthew’s is to do away with Julia by the next New Year’s Eve.
Over the course of the year, Matthew bumbles along trying to do Julia in and make her death look like an accident. In the meantime, he kills off the dog Fifi, their friends and relatives,well, maybe
Adding to the comical plot is Detective Plotnik played by Dan Watson of Detroit, who thinks the butler, Buttram played by Kirk Hayhurst of Southgate, did the dastardly deeds just like the 1930s-40s movies.
Julia manages to void Matthew’s murder attempts so she can see her ditzy daughter, Bunny played by Katie Mara of Riverview, wed the handsome lawyer, Donald played by Tommy Wojtala of Lincoln Park. Also included in this ensemble is the maid played by Marcy Bearce of Riverview and will round up the comic relief. Director of this production is Lilli Martin Jackson.
