Dinner and a musical presents "The Wiz Comes to South Dallas" May 22, 2009

On May 22, 2009, 6th thru 8th grade students of the Fine Arts Department will host our first annual Dinner and A Musical dinner theatre featuring our adapted musical production, “The Wiz Comes to South Dallas”. Guests will be able to enjoy a two-course meal prior to the show and dessert and coffee during the meet-and-greet after the show. Dinner will be served at 6:30pm. The performance will begin at 8pm. In preparation, students have been building costumes, scenery and props as well as learning lines, music, and choreography. Our cast consists of 60 students. Selected teachers from the fine arts department are not only directing the students during rehearsal, but will be performing in supporting roles with the students.
