Digital SLR Tutorial III: Flash March 11, 2012

If you are familiar with the basics of DSLR photography and wish to improve your images through the use of this affordable artificial light source, then this tutorial is for you. In this three-hour class students will explore the use of on and off-camera flash through lecture and hands-on demonstrations. This tutorial will cover the technical basics of how to improve your images with this artificial light source as a creative tool.

Topics covered will include: understanding the relationship between flash and exposure, using flash in both fully manual and automatic modes, using on and off camera (wireless) flash, how to achieve creative results, using flash in mixed lighting, and using multiples flash units. These specific topics will greatly expand the possibilities and results you are able to achieve with your DSLR camera.
