Develop a game in two weeks and discover the use of maths, physics and art in the process!
ProjectFUN workshops use ProjectFUN Editor, a game development kit designed and developed by DigiPen to provide participants with a hands-on introduction to the artistic and engineering processes involved in game design and development. ProjectFUN workshops use game development as a tool to satisfy the following objectives:
• Motivate students to learn foundational software engineering concepts such as programming, algorithms and data structures;
• Motivate students to understand and discover the role of academic subjects such mathematics, physics, art and the integration of these subjects in the field of software engineering;
• Improve problem-solving, analytical, project management and presentation skills of students using project-based, hands-on approach that requires students to design and implement their own games;
• Inspire and encourage the creative attributes of students and to manifest these ideas in playable computer games; and
• Educate students on various exciting career opportunities and paths in interactive digital media
