The web contains an enormous amount of information that is implicit in the connections between web pages and web sites. Large-scale automated

analyses of web pages can unearth relationships between organisations or the structure of online issues. This talk will describe some freely available web mining tools and illustrate their potential with a diverse range of findings, from new business competitors and partners to the isolation of Greece within the European research area.
