Dig It! The Secrets of Soil October 2, 2010

Soils are alive. They are born, they breathe, they age. Soils are everywhere. With public concern about the environment more pressing than ever, Dig it! The Secrets of Soil explores a vital, but largely unexplored natural resource and ecosystem. This important exhibition invites visitors to think about this hidden world in a whole new way. Created by the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History, Dig It! allows visitors to unearth the many ways we benefit from soils and how we affect their health and productivity.
