December 6 & 7, 2008, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. each day. 35th annual Dickens on The Strand celebrating the rebirth of Galveston Island. Continuous entertainment, over 130 craft and food vendors, daily Queen's Parades, childrens activities, costume contest, special events and much more. Adults $9 in advance, children 7 - 12 $4; at the gate, adults $12, children $6, children under 7 admitted free, patrons in Victorian attire admitted at half-price.
