Network for New Music and the American Philosophical Society (APS) Museum collaborate in Dialogues with Darwin: The Poetry Project.
Philadelphia composers and poets created new music and poetry inspired by the words and images of Charles Darwin, found in the APS Museum's Dialogues with Darwin Poetry Project. Join us for the world premiere of Darwiniana, a major multimedia work by composer Maurice Wright, and world premieres of compositions by outstanding young composers David Carpenter, Andrew Litts, Ian Munro, Daniel Nelson, and Daniel Shapiro with original poetry by Beth Feldman
Brandt, Jose Cedillos, and Cort Day. Also (free for ticket-holders) a pre-concert wine reception and guided tour of the Dialogues with Darwin exhibition--see website for details!
