Calling all funny bones! The internationally-acclaimed comedic duo of Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood will grace Wilmington's historic Grand Opera House on September 25th for Holidazzle 2010, sponsored by the Delaware Foundation Reaching Citizens with intellectual disABILITIES (DFRC).
Masters of engaging audiences through improvisational comedy and stars of the Emmy-nominated smash Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Colin and Brad are making their second Holidazzle appearance, following a successful 2007 Wilmington performance that still has attendees rolling in the aisles.
“There is nothing that brings us together better than laughter,” said Anthony Glenn, DFRC executive director. “We're delighted to have Colin and Brad headline Love & Laughter Act II, but most importantly to help those in Delaware with intellectual disabilities.”
DRFC is celebrating its 55th year of raising funds and awareness in support of community programs enriching the lives of Delawareans with intellectual disabilities.
“We are all people first our abilities and disabilities are merely a natural part of each and every person,” said Glenn. “At DFRC we celebrate these differences, honor our similarities, and respect each individual life for the qualities he or she brings to society with no labels, and no limitations.”
Importantly, by popular demand, the Delaware Theatre Company's Totally Awesome Kids a troop of exceptional young stage players with intellectual disabilities will again showcase their talents in a brief opening presentation. Totally Awesome Kids is a DFRC-funded program.
Guests are invited for cocktails prior to the show at 6:30; curtain time is 8 pm. A special “meet and greet” opportunity with Colin and Brad is available to corporate and other sponsors.
