Detention Ditchers roller derby bout hosted by Columbia Quad Squad August 29, 2009

Summertime is winding down and it’s time to head back to school. On Saturday, August 29 at 6:30 p.m., the women of the Columbia Quad Squad (the reigning South Carolina state champions) will be hosting the NRV Roller Girls from southern Virginia. And, in the spirit of the season, you can fully expect CQS to take NRV to school.

CQS will be coming off of its summer hiatus, ready to start the fall campaign. The CQS roster will feature a number of new players, ready to show what they’ve got but don’t worry, many of the CQS stalwarts will still be there, including Holly Hunter, Crystal Cutt, and Mel Anoma.

The bout starts at 6:30 and doors open at CONFIRM TIME – 5:00 OR 5:30. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. And the first 100 college students with ID will get in for only $5. As always, CQS will be playing at the Jamil Temple, the best roller derby venue in Columbia.
