DESO Protest July 30, 2007

Next Monday 30th July, from 3.30pm, London Campaign Against the Arms Trade is holding a non-violent protest outside DESO in Bloomsbury. Although it has been leaked that DESO will be closed as part of the comprehensive spending review in the autumn, this is far from certain and it is of course the case that in the interim they are still involved in organising arms fairs such as the DSEi arms fair, which is the world's largest.

London CAAT is showing solidarity with Disarm DSEi's call for two days of action against those involved with the arms fair (and the arms trade generally). We will be meeting outside DESO to reiterate our demands for it to be closed and to call on it to stop its involvement in the organisaton of this year's arms fair.
