"Desert Stories, Rhythm, Rumi and Rhyme May 20, 2011

Friday, May 20, Mendocino Stories & Music Series presents “Desert Stories, rhythm, Rumi, and rhyme”. Performers are Darryl "Oasis" Hasten, vocals, accompanied by members of Ancient Current - Johny "Qwest" Huebel, Ron Nadeau, and Doug Smith. Special guest appearance by Mark Yasskin. The event starts at 7:30 PM at the Mendocino Hotel.

The Series is happy to feature Oasis for a return engagement, with his unique dramatization of poetry and stories. Oasis, a performance artist for forty years, has produced and performed in storytelling and music benefits for many of our community organizations. He has just completed a run with MTC in “Born Yesterday”.
