As a comedian, Richards leaves fellow cynics screaming for more. And as a cancer survivor, he proves that a full-throttle sense of humor can make even the most dire days a laughing matter. Whether to a packed house of hundreds, or a handful in a hospital ward, Richards rakes in the laughter with tales about his mom's dog; dating an exotic dancer; exercise; computers; and life on the road. As the son of a Ford Motor Company electrician, he weaves in hilarious tales of his blue collar upbringing. A Detroit native, who entered comedy after being kicked off the air at a radio station -- the guy IS edgy -- Richards' act is fast, fresh and, at times, fanatical.
A regular on Armed Forces Entertainment Tours, Richards was featured in Newsweek, “Not Quite Prime Time,” for taking part in one of the first comedy shows (post 9/11) at Camp X-Ray, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. His most recent military tour took him to Iraq, Kuwait, Djibouti, Qatar and United Arab Emirates. You can catch him at the Boston, Calgary and Las Vegas Comedy Festivals. His two live CD's, "Sensitivity Training" and "Who's Your Daddy?" are sold at his shows.
