The Viennese have a custom: when you are to be married, the Knight of the Rose ceremoniously delivers a silver rose from your fiance as a sign of your engagement. But you are not suppose to fall in love with the messenger! Nostalgic waltzes permeate this sublime score, conjuring up old Vienna in all its glory, while lavish costumes and scenery form a backdrop to a story that is one part autumnal romance and one part romp. This special event is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the opera in a intimate setting. Sung in German with English subtitles
