Teenage twins Emma and Tom have problems that go from bad to worse when their eccentric mother moves them into a creepy haunted mansion sold to them by the local undertaker.
In the basement they find a fountain pen that, like a genie's lamp, is holding a Spanish fakir named Lombardo. The kooky magician makes trouble as he tries to escape, but his friendship is proven when he helps the children defeat jewel thieves who have returned for a treasure they hid in the house years before.
