Deidre Murray: the Voice Within May 14, 2009

In 'The Voice Within,' the innovative composer Deidre Murray creates a fascinating a cappella soundscape that examines the human voice as it springs forth from intricate internal dialogue to brilliant vocal expression. An ensemble of singers and actors weaves an elaborate backdrop for this story of the search for self. In two separate events, audiences will be drawn into Murray's creative process, first through a dramatic reading of the first part of 'The Voice Within' and then thrugh a showing of the completed work before it moves into its final phase in preparation for a fall 2009 world premiere.
