Defence Summit Asia: Wireless Communication Network July 3, 2011

Military communication network are large defence systems with complex framework design. Despite some changes in the workload characteristics and physical dynamics, the intended goal remains the same, which is to provide communication service to warfighters to ensure mission success.

Security plays a critical part in military communication network to avoid jamming, hacking and leaking of military information to undesirable parties. A good network design with high levels of security can ensure secure communications between warfighters. As there is no room for errors or network failure in the battlefield, engineers need to ensure network readiness at all times.

Wireless Communication Network as part of Defence Summit Asia 2011 aims to address the design and security issue faced by engineers in developing a secure military communication network system. Hence, discussion include the concept of military communication networks, comparison of US military standard, military network design with specification and the integration of network in manned and unmanned platform.
