October NAMI Meeting: Decriminalizing Mental Illness
Our next general meeting will be on Thursday, October 11 at 7:00pm in the Monroe County Public Library Auditorium. There you will have a chance to hear and participate in a panel discussion with the community's leaders involved in the mentally ill population. Included in the discussion are:

Bloomington Police Captain Mike Diekhoff
Monroe County Prosecutor Chris Gaal
Monroe County Sheriff Jim Kennedy
Center for Behavioral Health Director Denny Morrison
Drug Court Judge Kenneth Todd
A Representative from Bloomington Hospital

In the audience will be Bloomington Mayor Mark Kruzan and mayoral candidate David Sabbaugh. After the general meeting, we will hold our annual business meeting for NAMI members to vote on next year's Board of Directors and Executive Officers. Secretary Cathy Korinek and at-large director Vid Beldavs have finished their two-year terms and are stepping off the board. Are YOU interested in joining the board?
