Debra S. Davis Memorial Award: Poetry Contest August 22, 2011

Denton Poets’ Assembly is proud to sponsor the first annual contest held in memory of Debra S. Davis, a charter member of DPA, and treasured DISD teacher and member of the Denton community.

Categories:
Adult: ages 20 & up
Teen: ages 13-19
Children: ages 12 & under

1st through 3rd place prizes will be awarded for each category – totaling $350!

Best poem on any subject, in any form, of 30 lines or less
Deadline: midnight October 1, 2011.
Open to residents of Denton County. (DPA members are ineligible.)

Winners will be announced, and prizes will be awarded at a ceremony on October 15, 2011, Texas Poetry Day, at the North Branch Library at 10 am.
