Death in Them Thar Hills November 12, 2009

"Death in Them Thar Hills" will be the Burleson County Theatre Guild's third annual murder mystery dinner theater, directed by Amy Ressler.

This murder mystery takes place in the 1880's near the Grand Canyon where prospector and gold mine owner "Dusty" Jones is being honored by the residents of Cactus Gulch. Each one rises to say a few words about him and his contributions to the community. Key citizens of Cactus Gulch have assembled to honor Dusty. Each one rises to ay a few words about him and his contributions to the community. Then, Dusty speaks his mind, raises a glass of tequila, sits down and, a few minutes later, slumps over in his chair - DEAD. (Dusty will be played by none other than our own Burleson County Judge Mike Sutherland!)

The audience becomes members of the "investigative team," analyzes statements by each of the suspects, asks questions, and puts together clues to determine the motive, means, and opportunity! The team (table) that guesses the closest answer will go home with a prize!

Tickets, which include a catered meal and an evening of fun, must be purchased in advance. Seating is limited. A table for eight may be purchased for $150.

Doors will open at 6pm for each performance.
