You might think that love hurts but you won't understand suffering till you have experienced some of the baddest girls from the block facing off to see who will be Tampa Bay's Valentines Day sweethearts. The 2010 Tampa Bay Derby Darlins' roller derby season will blast off on Saturday, February 13 with “Death by Derby”. This exhibition bout will host unique teams composed especially to celebrate the day of love derby style as The Makeout Bandits take on The Heartbreakers.
When the doors to USA Skateplex open, an arena of serious competition and motivated warriors will be revealed. The Heartbreakers have promised they will break up the competition; however, The Makeout Bandits know how to steal the audience's hearts. Along with 90 minutes of action, spectators will have the opportunity to win fabulous raffle prizes, be delighted with half time entertainment, and celebrate victory afterward at Terrace Sports Bowling Alley next door to the rink.
USA Skateplex is located at 5313 E Busch Blvd, Temple Terrace. Bout begins at 8 PM but come early to get the best view of the action. Bleacher seating is available but there is limited track side seating so fans are encouraged to bring their own lawn chair. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Discount tickets available for students, children, military, and groups. Visit us at www.TampaRollerDerby.com for bout information and online tickets.
