DC Flickr Meetup & Photowalk January 27, 2008

As Eric put it "Have some drinks, some banter, and I'm sure a ton of photos just inside of Rocket Bar. Then at 4pm those of us that want to head out into the wild blue yonder can head up to the streets of DC and out into the early evening light for a photo walk around that area."

George08 that would be great. We always welcome more company. As for the schwag, we'd love it. Funny thing is I actually sent a request to see if I could get some stickers and such to give out at the event. I didn't expect it to be hand delivered. I hope to see you there.

george08 - we've been getting more and more, last time I think we had around 25 or so. It seems like we should have around that number again I hope, if not a few more.

I'll be staying at a place around the corner from the Library of Congress... Unless it's ridiculously hard to get to the meet from there, I can just look at a map and get the Metro?

george008 - you should be able to find it pretty easily via the metro. it's on 7th street between G and H streets NW. From what they say on their website "Located across the street from the Verizon Center and Clydes,
in a space underneath Ruby Tuesdays and Legal Seafood." The metro stop is Gallery Place/Chinatown. flickrmail me "epmd" if you want a # to call in case you get lost.

Darn!! I asked the bartender if he'd seen a huge bunch of people with cameras, and he said I missed you by five minutes! I wandered around the area for a while, looking for said bunch, but, couldn't spot you.
I'm sorry I missed you too... I have a bunch of schwag too. Darn it.

I'll actually be in DC that weekend (from San Francisco)... I wonder if people would mind if a Flickr staffer crashed the event? I could bring some schwag to sweeten the pot!
