Content and IP
The use of technology in the illegal acquisition of content and intellectual property is a topic of frequent conversation. Less well covered is the application of technology to safeguard and protect IP. This panel will examine the subject from a number of perspectives, including the prominent roles played by other nations other than the US in the field and whether the US is able... and willing to assume a leadership role.
Other topics in the discussion will include:
*The use of technology to "retrain" consumers to look to legal sources of content online
· Initial impacts/results from the PRO-IP Act: Implementation, role of the IP Enforcement Coordinator, administration priorities, international cooperation, etc.
· Filtering, graduated response and other technological responses to online infringement
· ISP liability
