Appointed by Mayor Fenty in October, Sivak brings cutting edge private sector experience to DC’s highly visible and progressive Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) and its 500 employees, along with DC’s 86 agencies, its residents, businesses and visitors. As a software developer and entrepreneur, Sivak’s background is grounded in customer-service tech tools.
Washington, DC is not only a global capital city, but a laboratory for innovation—seen on a world stage. Following the success of “Apps for Democracy” and the promotion of DC’s former CTO, Vivek Kundra by President Obama to Federal CIO, all eyes on DC for what’s next.
