UNDERSTANDING AND IDENTIFYING THE BAY AREA'S DAZZLING DRAGONFLIES--Learn about the earth's earliest fliers: the exotic and beautiful dragonflies. In a morning presentation, we'll explore the biology, life cycle, and ecology of the Odonata (the family to which the dragonflies and damselflies belong). We'll learn the field marks needed to identify the most common Bay Area species, and then we'll go outside to practice our identification skills and make sense of dragonflies' unusual behaviors. The Biggs' field guides and coloring books will be offered to class participants at a discount. To enroll, print out the Class Registration Form on the website and send it with your check to: John Rusk, 1354-B Lincoln St., Berkeley, CA 94702. For additional information call John Rusk at 510-528-0526 or email at john@rusk.com. (Advance registration is required for all classes. Drops in are not permitted.)
