As a participant of the University of Louisville’s “Dia de los Muertos” celebration, the Frazier Museum will be hosting an altar in memory of Mambo King Tito Puente. Puente, known as the “sultan of salsa,” was also a WWII veteran, serving three years in the Navy. He went on to build a notable music career, passing away in 2000.
