Day of the Dead October 31, 2010

The Art Center's Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) celebration surveys a century of Hispanic leadership in Des Moines and salutes gifted, civic-minded personalities from many decades. The event will feature live music by Latino Pride, a family workshop inspired by Day of the Dead folk art traditions, traditional food and refreshments, a film highlighting the contributions of the honorees, and performances and artwork created by local elementary school students.
