Day In The Park May 9, 2009

Spend a Day in the Park with your family experiencing a variety of exciting activities! We’ll have composting demonstrations, recycling info, and free trees for Moorpark residents. The Friends of the Library will be hosting a book sale and Moorpark Kiwanis will have free child ID kits.

Kids will have a great time at the Kids Expo and Touch-a-Truck. The Expo will feature information and activities from the Moorpark Mom’s Club, Boys and Girls Club, Moorpark Recreation, First Five, and youth sports organizations including AYSO, Girls Softball, and Packer Football. Touch-a-truck will amaze kids with the Ventura’s County Sheriff’s mobile command unit, police cars, search & rescue, a City dump truck, back hoe, trash trucks, parks vehicles, the City bus (with free bus rides!) and much more.

The Moorpark Police Department and CHP are also hosting their first annual Bike Rodeo at the event. This hands-on activity teaches children about Bicycle safety, so bring your bicycles and helmets!

Admission is Free! There will be a small charge for some attractions!
