We will start our day with a two-hour guided bus tour of West Point, located on the banks of the Hudson River. Upon arrival, we will be asked to go through a security check point which will require that each person have a government I.D. Our tour will include stops at the Main Cadet Chapel, the Old Cadet Chapel, the West Point Cemetery, and finally the West Point Museum.

Lunch will be at the Park Restaurant.

Promptly after lunch, we will travel to the Storm King Art Center, whose 500 acres are considered America’s leading sculpture park. After meeting the Director, David Collen, we will tour the extensive grounds. A recent 11-acre installation, “Wave Field,” by acclaimed Viet Nam War Memorial artist Maya Lin, will be on view for the first time. Storm King also contains more than 100 modern sculptures by American and European artists, including Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, David Smith, and Louise Nevelson.
